Two Day Wine Tour

Where our day begins with a tasting session at Thelema Mountain Vineyards. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to savor a superb selection of award-winning wines while taking in the breathtaking views. Our next stop takes us to Rustenburg Vineyard, a place steeped in history and adorned with magnificent examples of Cape Dutch architecture. Lunch awaits us at Glenelly Wine Estate, where you can enjoy your meal against the backdrop of splendid views over the wine country. At the picturesque L’Aviner vineyard, situated next to a serene lake, you can try your hand at Sabrage. This unique experience allows you to taste South Africa’s renowned Pinotage wine, among other varietals, as well as a few examples of MCC (methode champenoise). The setting by the lake creates unforgettable memories. Our day culminates with a Port and Chocolate tasting at Muratie Wine Estate, one of the oldest estates in the Stellenbosch region. Don’t forget your camera to capture the memories! After the day’s adventures, you’ll spend the night at Oude Werf Boutique Hotel 4* or a similar luxurious accommodation.

Following a relaxed breakfast and a scenic drive through Stellenbosch, we venture towards the Helshoogte Mountain Pass en route to Franschhoek. Our first stop is the Oldenburg Vineyard, where you can indulge in the exquisite taste of their terroir-specific wines, accompanied by panoramic views that perfectly complement the experience. Next, we visit Boschendal Vineyard, the oldest establishment in the Franschhoek valley, dating back to 1688. Here, you’ll step into the past as you explore beautifully restored Manor Houses and Gardens. Tasting wines under the ancient Oak Trees provides a unique historical ambiance. Before entering Franschhoek, we pause at La Motte Vineyard, renowned as one of the most enchanting vineyards in the Franschhoek valley. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and absorb the vineyard’s beauty. Once in Franschhoek, take a leisurely stroll through the charming town, immersing yourself in the village atmosphere. If time permits, a visit to the local chocolate factory offers a glimpse into the artistry of creating authentic Belgian chocolates. We then proceed to the Franschhoek memorial before heading to Haute Cabriere Vineyard, situated halfway up Franschhoek Mountain. Here, indulge in bubbly delights while enjoying breathtaking views over the Franschhoek valley. As the day draws to a close, we journey back to Cape Town, marking the end of a truly memorable wine country excursion.
