Itinerary

Arrive in Koforidua, the capital city of the Eastern Region. Visit the stunning Boti Falls, a picturesque waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Explore nearby villages and interact with locals to gain insights into their way of life and cultural practices. Witness traditional crafts, such as basket weaving or pottery making (subject to availability). Overnight in Koforidua.

Embark on a hiking adventure through the beautiful Aburi Botanical Gardens, home to a diverse array of flora and fauna. Explore the well-maintained trails and discover the garden’s collection of rare and exotic plant species. Continue your hike to nearby mountain peaks, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the breathtaking vistas. Return to Koforidua for the evening.

Visit the historic Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm, where the first cocoa seeds were planted in Ghana. Learn about the history of cocoa cultivation and its significance in Ghanaian culture and economy. Proceed to the Akosombo Dam, a remarkable engineering feat and one of the largest hydroelectric projects in Africa. Marvel at the dam’s impressive structure and learn about its construction and impact on the region. Overnight in Akosombo or nearby town.

Depart from Akosombo or nearby town and make your way back to Accra or proceed to your next destination.
