Walk through Jamestown and experience the interesting sights and sounds of an ancient part of Ghana’s capital. The location has a section of Ga people living in the old location in the urban neighborhood. A place rich in colonial history. A tour of this indigenous area offers an opportunity to visit old forts, slave posts and dungeons and more. While listening to commentary on the old Harbor city where civilization started according to the locals, you may sample some Street foods as well. You have the option of fried fish, chicken, squid, shrimps, pork a eggs to try. These go with our locally-prepared kenkey, banku, waakye or rice. (Rice options are usually plain, steamed or boiled or fried. Rice fried with vegetables is common and available on request. All this foods comes in at different times zone. Dare to also have a bite into- -Fried, spicy ‘Turkey-Tail’ known locally as ‘chow-fii’ -Grilled pork sprinkled with spicy hot peppers dubbed ‘doe-mer-doe’ by locals. This is a popular, local delicacy associated with the Ga people. These Delicacies may be eaten with fried yam or Atomo (Latter is sweet and locally grown potatoes). Cooking of all street foods is done right by the roadside.

The Slave Dungeons: These dungeons were used to hold African slaves before they were shipped to the Americas. They are a sobering reminder of the transatlantic slave trade.-The James Fort: This fort was built by the British in the 17th century and was used as a trading post and a military base. It is now a museum that tells the story of Jamestown’s history.-The Fishing Harbor: This harbor is a hive of activity, with fishermen loading and unloading their boats. It is a great place to see traditional Ghanaian fishing methods.-The Jamestown Lighthouse: This lighthouse was built in the 19th century and is a landmark of Jamestown. It offers stunning views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean.
