Itinerary
8:00 am Depart to Materuni Waterfalls
Depart from your hotel in Arusha and embark on a 4-hour drive to Materuni Waterfalls (1600m above sea level).
12:00 pm Hike to Coffee Farm
Enjoy a 30-minute hike through the stunning hills and valleys, surrounded by tropical rainforests and coffee, banana, and avocado farms.
12:30 pm Arrive at Coffee Farm
Visit a coffee farm and learn about the cultivation, harvesting, and processing of coffee. Participate in roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee the traditional Chagga way.
1:30 pm Materuni Waterfalls
Marvel at the breathtaking Materuni Waterfalls, the highest and most impressive waterfall at the foothill of Mount Kilimanjaro, standing at 150 meters tall. (Hiking boots are recommended for the demanding hike to the base of the waterfall). Refresh yourself in the cool waters of the waterfall (bring your swimwear).
2:30 pm Chemka Hot Springs
Proceed to Chemka Hotsprings, a geothermal oasis with clear, warm waters (up to 10 meters deep in some areas).
3:30 pm Lunch time
Enjoy a provided lunch box and water bottle while taking in the scenic surroundings and spotting local wildlife.
4:30 pm Return to Arusha
Return to Arusha refreshed and rejuvenated after an amazing day tour.
