Day 2 Prison Island and Nakupenda Island

During the November to Remember Zanzibar group trip, we visited Prison Island and Nakupenda Island. These two destinations offered unique experiences that are worth sharing.
Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island, is a former prison that has been turned into a tourist attraction. The island is home to Aldabra giant tortoises, which are a rare species of tortoises that can only be found in the Seychelles. You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with these gentle giants, and it is a truly unforgettable experience.
Nakupenda Island, on the other hand, is a small island that is surrounded by crystal-clear waters. It is a perfect destination for swimming and snorkeling, as the waters are teeming with colorful fish and coral reefs. We will spend a few hours on the island, enjoying the sun, sand, and sea.
Day 3 Spice Farm and Mabaraka Aquarium

On the third day, we will have the pleasure of exploring the Spice Farm and the Mabaraka Aquarium. The Spice Farm is a delightful experience, as you will be shown around and taught about the various spices grown there. The guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and you will learn a lot about the history and uses of spices. The Mabaraka Aquarium is equally impressive, with a vast array of marine life to observe and learn about. The aquarium is well-maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Day 4 Day at Safari Blue

Start your day with a drive to the Safari Blue destination. After a short island tour, you will have the chance to snorkel in the coral reefs, swim in the warm waters, and spot dolphins and other marine life. After the water activities, a sumptuous seafood buffet lunch is served on a sandbank, followed by a lazy afternoon spent sunbathing, swimming, and taking in the stunning views. The day ends with a drive back to your hotel, with memories of a truly unforgettable experience.
Day 5 Sunset on the Indian Ocean
The sunset on the Indian Ocean in Zanzibar is a breathtaking sight. The sky transforms into a beautiful canvas of warm hues, ranging from golden yellows to deep oranges and fiery reds. As the sun slowly dips below the horizon, the ocean takes on a mesmerizing glow, reflecting the vibrant colors of the sky. The cool ocean breeze and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore create a serene and peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect moment to reflect and appreciate the beauty of nature.
Day 6 Stone Town tour and departure
Explore the UNESCO-listed Stone Town with a guided tour that showcases the city’s rich history and culture. Start with a visit to the Old Fort, which dates back to the 17th century, and then stroll through the winding streets to see the ornate doors and balconies that give the city its unique character. Stop by the House of Wonders, the former Sultan’s palace, and learn about Zanzibar’s role in the spice trade at the Spice Market. Finally, enjoy a hassle-free airport drop-off to end your tour on a high note.
