Day 1 Royal Sea Star Guesthouse, Swakopmund (Sun, 19 November)
Meet and assist by your driver and a Hype.Travel/Jolly Rovers representative at Hosea Kutako International Airport, tour documents will be given to you for your tour briefing and depart to Swakopmund. Arriving in Swakopmund, take a walk at the beach and dinner we recommend The Tug Restaurant at own account +- 404.9 km (4 Hr 08 minutes’ drive)
Swakopmund
Set along Namibia’s spectacularly scenic coast, the seaside town of Swakopmund is known for its wide-open avenues, colonial architecture, and its surrounding otherworldly desert terrain. Founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South-West Africa, Swakopmund is often described as being more German than Germany. Now a seaside
resort town, Swakopmund is the capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area and has plenty to keep visitors happy. The quirky mix of German and Namibian influences, adventure options, laid-back atmosphere and cool sea breeze make it a very popular Namibian destination. Visitors can look forward to a number of exciting activities including: quad biking, horse riding, paragliding, fishing, sightseeing and fascinating desert tours.
At night, you will lodge at the Royal Sea Star Guesthouse.
Royal Sea Star Guesthouse is a 10 room Bed & Breakfast facility, located in a peacefull area close to the beach (2 min) walk and close to town center of Swakopmund.
A generous breakfast is served in our dining room with a sea view and a fireplace, in a friendly and personalized atmosphere.
All our room are spacious and comfortable, each with a balcony or patio and do have en-suite bathrooms. Most bathrooms are equipped with a bath and shower. All rooms does have a luggage rack, safe, TV with Netflix and You-Tube, coffee station, and free wi-fi. Our parking area is private and secure.
Day 2 Royal Sea Star Guesthouse, Swakopmund (Mon, 20 November)
Today deserves an early start; pick up from your hotel between 07:30 – 08:00 for the full day Marine Desert Adventure combo (Boat cruise followed by a 4×4 Sandwich Harbour Tour (champagne, soft drinks, cold beers, fresh Oysters and finger food included): For dinner we recommend Tiger Reef Bar & Grill Restaurant at own account. +- 35.2 km (32 minutes’ drive from Swakopmund to Walvis Bay).
Day 3 Camel riding and quad biking
Today is yet another day spent on adventure, pick up at 10:00am for your 30-minute camel ride and 45 minutes Quad biking. Afternoon at 16H30 you will be picked up for your township tour (learn about the Damara, Ovambo and Herero tribes, tasted local food and drinks included). Dinner, we recommend Ocean Cellar at own account.
Day 4 Leisure Day
Today is purely spent at leisure. Optional Spa can be booked (pricelist to be provided. Dinner, we recommend Kuki’s Pub at own account.
Day 5 Little Forest Garden Retreat, Windhoek
Early breakfast and at 07H00 you will be picked up for your shuttle to Windhoek, drop off at your guesthouse. After spent at leisure and dinner we recommend at your guesthouse own account. +- 360.5 km (3 Hr 34 minutes’ drive).
Situated in Central Namibia, the cosmopolitan city of Windhoek serves as the capital of the country. It is home to an international airport and a plethora of restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and accommodation options. The city is clean, safe and well-organised, with a colonial legacy that is reflected in its many German eateries and shops, and the widespread use of the German language. Windhoek has an interesting mix of historical architecture and modern buildings, many of which are worth a look, including the Alte Feste an old fort, the 1896 Christuskirche Christ Church, and the more contemporary Supreme Court.
Day 6 City tour
Breakfast followed by your pick up for a 2-hour city tour, drop off at the mall and afternoon is spent at leisure. Dinner, we recommend Butcher Block Steakhouse at your expense.
Day 7 Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to Hosea Kutako International Airport. We hope you have had a memorable Namibian experience and have a safe flight back home. +- 46.1 km (37 minutes’ drive)
